It’s been a month since attending the California Coalition for Youth Conference! I still smile whenever I think about everything I learned while in attendance!
In the past month, I’ve shared my experiences with some of my teachers! They have been interested in what the California Coalition for Youth does, which has been exciting!
Since I got back from the CCY Conference, I’ve been working with my team to incorporate what we learned in Sacramento to the volunteer work that we do! Open Mic night was such a fun time in Sacramento that we have decided to try this event with the youth we help! This weekend, we are having a BBQ and a Open Mic event! We have been motivating the kids to write a poem or a song to share… anything that shows the talents they have!
I’m excited for what is to come this weekend! It should be fun!

I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed yourself during Open Mic at the TA Conference! Keep the message alive…
