“ Without the guidance of the creative conscience it’s easy to get overworked, addicted, exhausted, or sick (or all of the above). When that happens you know your heart and soul are starving to death. Your creative conscience must resort to pain and discomfort to get your attention. The pain is there for a reason. you need to do something about it. Veer too far off the path of the heart and you get a pebble in your soul. Life hits you over the head with one of those big lessons: illness, an auot accident, bankruptcy, the relationship that ends painfully.
Some of life’s catastophes are preventable, some are not. Indulging in self destructive behavior, like addiction or abusive relationships, can be reversed. But what about circumstances beyond your control? How can you predict that your company is going to downsize you out of a job? Or that an earthquake or flood will leave you homeless? Or that your spouse will die? Whether you are facing a crisis of your own making or one that was thrust upon you, Visioning wokrs. Acquiring the habit of listening to you heart and giving voice to your creative conscience is a great survival strategy, enabling you to design and build the life you want with the pieces that life has given you.” Visionig by Lucia Capacchione
Even though things happen and there will have to be some time set aside for reflection and induring pain. That is understandable but it is not a place where you want to remain. Everyone will go through something tragic in there life. Some will have little to no clue how to cop. There is something called hope and faith. Everyone has a mission on this earth and all that is around you are instrument to guide you along the path. You are the master of your fate. You are the conqueror of your soul. You control your happiness. It is really hard to think in terms of visioning when tragedy is of the essence, but you can! There is a message always given when things happen. You must trust yourself, that it is going to be ok. Because you are a living instrument put on this earth for a purpose, so take that and run. Take time to take care of yourself with healthy ways in mind. Think, the world wouldn’t be complete with out you, for you are a key element to the rotation of the world while you are on your journey.

Well the work that is done revolves around the youth and helps the youth to see a road ahead of themselves to give them an opportunity to succeed. What program do you speak of?

You might be thinking of California Youth Connection (They are
CYC and we are CCY–the California Coalition for Youth) The California Youth Connection is run by current and former foster youth. While we have former foster youth on our board of directors and we also work for the benifit of foster youth, CCY serves other populations while the California Youth Connection is, to the best of my knowledge, exclusively involved with Foster Youth. Their Website is http://www.calyouthconn.org and all their contact information for their different offices throughout the State are on that site. Good luck.
If you have any other questions about are organization, you can contact me Jim Levine at jimlevine@mcn.org. I am a Board member of CCY
