From Riverside, Talia volunteers at a local shelter whose mission is to help youth in crisis. In the past three years, she has developed a passion for helping at-risk youth. She enjoys serving as a youth mentor for youth her age, and planning events for them! In the past years, she has hosted conferences for the youth and staff members of the shelter where she volunteers targeted toward bringing positive and healthy change in their lives. Only a junior in high school, her hopes for her future are to major in psychology and help at-risk youth. She would one day like to open a shelter of her own targeted towards victims of neglect, rape, and homelessness. She also wants to one day study law and become a lawyer. In her spare time she enjoys running, writing poetry, and painting.
